Related Species

Described as Nonnula sclateri Hellmayr 1907; type locality Humaytha [Humaitá], on the left [west] bank of the Rio Madeira [Amazonas], Brazil

Phylogenetic relationships within Nonnula have not been investigated; sclateri typically has been considered to be related to Nonnula rubecula (Rusty-breasted Nunlet) and Nonnula brunnea (Brown Nunlet) (Hellmayr 1907, Rasmussen and Collar 2002).
