Diet and Foraging

Although no specific data are available for Yellow-lored Parrot, its diet is presumed to be similar to that of its sister species, White-fronted Parrot (Amazona albifrons). Based on this assumption, Yellow-lored Parrot probably feeds on a variety of seeds, fruits, blossoms, nuts, legumes, and crops (Forshaw 1978, Collar 1997).
