At the global level White-chinned Swift is considered as a species of Least Concern, in view of its wide distribution and apparently stable population (BirdLife International 2013). This species is poorly known, however; its population trends have not been quantified, and it has been found breeding at only a few sites.

Effects of human activity on populations

No threats to White-chinned Swift have been identified (BirdLife International 2013).
