White-browed Conebill has a large geographic range, and the population trend, while not quantified, is believed to be stable. Consequently the IUCN Red List conservation status for White-browed Conebill is rated as Least Concern (BirdLife International 2012).

The relative abundance of White-browed Conebill is assessed as fairly common (Fjeldså and Krabbe 1990, Schulenberg et al. 2010).

Effects of human activity on populations

Human activity has little short-term direct effect on White-browed Conebill, other than the local effects of habitat destruction.
