Diet and Foraging


There is little information on the diet of Volcano Junco, but it is reported to feed on seeds, fallen berries, small insects, and spiders (Stiles and Skutch 1989).

Foraging Behavior

Volcano Junco forages on the ground, advancing both by running and hopping as it gleans seeds, berries, and insects from the ground (Stiles and Skutch 1989).
