Diet and Foraging


It is a highly generalist species. It has been recorded feeding on flowers of Agave salmiana, Cirsium jaliscoense, Euphorbia cymbifera, Fouquieria formosa, Nebuxbaumia mezcalaensis, N. tetetzo, Nicotiana glauca, Polaskia chichipe, Pseudobombax ellipticum, Stenocereus stellatus, , Marginatocereus marginatus, Salvia mexicana, Salvia iodantha, entre otras. Also feeds on insects.
