Behavior

Behavior

Very poorly known. At one site, piculets "foraged primarily near the ends of slender branches and vines", and primarily in the canopy (Parker and Parker 1982). Other observers have reported them foraging from "low ... [up] to 10-12 m" (Hornbuckle 1999).

Social and interspecific behavior

Usually encountered as singles or pairs in association with mixed species flocks (Parker and Parker 1982, Schulenberg et al. 2007).
