Short-tailed Shearwater Ardenna tenuirostris




It dives into the water to take their prey, can reach 10 m depth. During the breeding season it feeds in the vicinity of the colony. Chicks store large quantities of oil in the stomach and is used when parents have left the nest.

Social and interspecific behavior

Form large groups.
