Priorities for Future Research

Like many small species of canopy foraging tanagers, little information is known about the basic biology and natural history of the Rufous-winged Tanager. Most information is in the form of generalites or comes from a few specific observations. Of particular interest would be more details on their foraging and breeding behavior, populations numbers, and more specific information on habitat requirements.
