They breed from April to August or September. Its nest is a compact bulky mass of dead leaves and twigs, with a shallow central depression; it is placed at 2 to 3 m above ground in thicket or vine tangle. It lays 3 to 5 eggs, dull white to beige, spotted and blotched with rufous and pale lilac.
