Very little information. The Ruddy Crake is apparently not very shy as it has been observed from less than 10 meters off (Slud 1964).

Observations of group size made by collectors indicate that Ruddy Crakes are at least somewhat gregarious as four birds were collected with a single shot by Warren Rook; similarly, five birds were collected by Robert W. Dickerman and Allan R. Phillips standing 2.4 m apart from each other (Dickerman 1968).
