Priorities for Future Research

Rufous-crowned Antpitta is very poorly studied, and information on all aspects of its behavior, distribution, habitat use, diet, and reproduction are needed. BirdLife International (2013) suggests that more surveys across the potential range of this species are needed to fully assess current population trends and its actual distribution.
