Sounds and Vocal Behavior


In flight emits a song consisting of short series of notes variables, followed by numerous phrases with buzz and thin jolting chu-chu-chu, swee-swee-swee-swee, psiu psiiu psiiiu siirrrr wi-wi-wi-wi, tswee-tswee-tswee-tswee. In the perch, emits similar versions to this song but shorter. Also emits calls in flight or when startled, like teeze, tseeeaz, seeeu, pseeeeu, double occasionally see-seeu or teeu teeu.
