Diet

This species eats both fruit and insects (Isler and Isler 1987, Ridgley and Tudor 1989).  Preferred fruits include pokewood (Phytolacca sp.), melastomes, Urtica, and myrtle (Descourtilz 1852, cited by Isler and Isler 1987).
