Distribution in the Americas

It is known in the Atlantic Slope from southern Tamaulipas to Honduras.

It is considered from common to less common all along its distributional range that has been calculated in 800000 km2.

It inhabits between 750 and 1000 m asl in evergreen forests, semi-deciduous forest and in forest borders. Semi-open areas with scattered trees and vegetation patches can be also used seasonally.
