Priorities for Future Research

Purple-crowned Fairy has a wide geographic range and is conspicuous, yet its natural history is not well known. There is very little information available regarding the range of flowering plants visited by this flashy hummingbird. There also is no information regarding demographic factors such as life span and survivorship, dispersal, or population regulation.
