Priorities for Future Research

Plain-capped Starthroat is widely distributed and is fairly common, but its natural history is very poorly known. Very little is known about its breeding biology, its foraging ecology is incompletely known, and there is no information about demographic factors such as life span and survivorship, dispersal, or population regulation.
