Body Parasites

The only parasite reported for Nephelornis oneilli is a species of bird tick, Ixodes auritulus (Gonzalez-Acuna et al. 2005). This tick species, possibly a species group, is widespread from Central America to southern South America, and parasitize birds belonging to eight different orders.
