Spectacled Tyrannulet is common throughout its range (Hilty and Brown 1986, Hilty 2003). Its IUCN Red List conservation status is assessed as of Least Concern (BirdLife International 2017).

Effects of human activity on populations

No published information. Spectacled Tyrannulet is common in a wide variety of habitats, including highly modified habitats around farms and towns, and is expected to be stable in human-modified areas.
