Mistletoe Tyrannulet is fairly common common throughout its range (Ridgely and Gwynne 1989, Stiles and Skutch 1989, Gallardo 2014, Chavarría-Duriaux et al. 2018), and has an IUCN Red List conservation status of Least Concern (BirdLife International 2017).
