Diet and Foraging

Diet

Guatemalan Tyrannulet consumes fruits (particularly mistletoe drupes) and insects. Its diet is not known in any detail, but presumably is similar to that of the closely related Mistletoe Tyrannulet (Zimmerius parvus).

Foraging Behavior

Guatemalan Tyrannulet gleans invertebrates, and gleans or sallies to consume fruit, as does Mistletoe Tyrannulet (Zimmerius parvus). Found at all levels of the forest, but primarily in the middle and high canopy.
