Diet and Foraging


It is known to eat nectar and insects. In Los Tuxtlas (Veracruz) has been recorded eating nectar from flowers of Ceiba pentandra, Erythrina folkersii, Costus scaber, Heliconia sp., Juanulloa mexicana, and epiphytes as Tillandsia dasyrifolia.
