Juan Fernandez Petrel Pterodroma externa

It feeds with other seabirds. It is dependent on subsurface predators, especially yellowfin tuna, to drive prey to the surface.

In light winds, low wheeling elides on bowed wings interspersed with easy, often languid wing beats. In moderate to strong winds, flight fast and wheeling with high arcs and little or no flapping.

Social and interspecific behavior

Usually in mixed-species feeding flocks.
