Diet and Foraging
Introduction
The diet of Hooded Tinamou is very poorly known. Reported to eat seeds of bamboo (Fjeldså and Krabbe 1990). Also reported to eat fallen fruit (T.A. Parker, unpublished observations), as does the closely related Highland Tinamou (Nothocercus bonapartei). Probably also consumes invertebrates.
