Demography and Populations

The Grand Cayman Thrush was only ever found in Grand Cayman Island (Bond 1956, Johnston 1969). This was a rare bird by 1911-14: in 1911 it was found in two remote areas of heavier woodland by Brown (Bangs 1916) and another observer could only find one bird during a three year stay in Grand Cayman (Savage English 1916).
