Distribution in the Americas

It distributes from southeastern Mexico to northern Colombia. In Mexico, it is found in the Gulf slope from northern Chiapas and eastern Tabasco to Honduras.

It is a resident species, uncommon to common. Its distributional range has been calculated in approximately 320,000 km2.
