Conservation and Management

Golden Vireo has a large range, and although the population may be in decline, its IUCN Red List status is rated as of Least Concern species (BirdLife International 2013). Under Mexican low, Golden Vireo is not classified as threatened.

The relative abundance of Golden Vireo is assessed as common to fairly common (Howell and Webb 1995) or as uncommon (Binford 1989).

Effects of Human Activity

No threats to Golden Vireo are identified by BirdLife International (2013). Habitat destruction or degradation may jeopardize the viability of populations of Golden Vireo.
