Golden Tanager Tangara arthus

  • Order: Passeriformes
  • Family: Thraupidae
  • Polytypic: 9 subspecies
  • Authors: Jennifer Lauren Cameron and Kevin J. Burns

Priorities for Future Research

Like many species of Neotropical birds, more information is needed for the Golden Tanager, including especially data on their life history during development from from nestling to adult. Although the geographic range is known, there is little information about their populations, including the global population size and density. Without this information, it is difficult to determine the status of this species.
