Priorities for Future Research

Giant Cowbird hosts – caciques and oropendolas – nest high (!) in canopy. A photograph in Smith (1979) illustrates N. G. Smith's impressive efforts to monitor nests 27 m above ground. Brood parasite-host interactions at such a height are not easily monitored.
