Fulvous-chinned Nunlet has a large geographic range, and so, although the population is suspected to be in decline, its IUCN Red List conservation status is assessed as Least Concern (BirdLife International 2015).

Effects of human activity on populations

As is the case with all species of Amazonian forest birds, Fulvous-chinned Nunlet is vulnerable to habitat loss or degradation from a wide range of human activities.
