The life history of Elegant Crested-Tinamou is one of the most documented in the family. Nonetheless there is little informaiton on its territoriality and home range size and population regulation. More quantitative data would be useful to assess the effects of hunting and trapping on this species, and of the effects of the conversion of original habitats to agricultural landscapes. The nature of the relationships between Elegant Crested-Tinamou and Quebracho Crested-Tinamou (Eudromia formosa), where their distributions approach (or overlap?), is not well known. It also still is not confirmed which species of crested-tinamou occurs in Bolivia.
