Breeding

It nests in colonies. Both parents incubate the egg, alternating their roles about 6 days. The activity in the nest is at night.

The nest is placed in burrows, cracks and crevices; there are no specific materials in their construction. Puts 1 egg white. Incubation lasts 54 days. Chick takes first flight when 97 days old.
