Priorities for Future Research

More research is urgently needed on this species in Baja California. Precise population estimates are lacking in Baja California but there is no evidence this species (especially P.c.californica) is any less threatened in Mexico than it is in the United Sates. Additionally, it appears habitat loss in both the United State and Mexico has eliminated connectivity between populations
