Buff-rumped Warbler Myiothlypis fulvicauda

Demography and Populations

The 6 subspecies are typically thought of as separate populations, but hybridization between some of the subspecies has been recorded, and subspecific limits have yet to be investigated with detailed genetic analysis. A narrow zone of intergradation between semicervinus and leucopygius is known from the Canal Zone of Panamá and eastward (Wetmore 1965).
