Breeding

Little information. Nests are reported from Mexico in May and June (Rowley 1962, Short 1974). The eggs are laid on the ground (Rowley 1962). Clutch size is two (Rowley 1962, Short 1974). The eggs are bff and heavily marked with brownish and lilac streaks and spots. Dimensions of two eggs (from a single clutch) are 21-21.5 x 19-19.6 mm (Rowley 1962).
