Blue Cotinga Cotinga nattererii

Diet and Foraging

Only known to eat fruit. Little data suggests Figs (Ficus, Fabaceae) Cecropia (Urticaceae), mistletoes, and Euterpe (Arecaceae) palms are believed to be preferred (Del Hoyo 2004).

Foraging Behavior

Fluttering sally is mode of foraging. Blue Cotinga is known to forage in groups of up to 10 members (Kirwan 2012).
