Priorities for Future Research

Blue-throated Goldentail is common and has a relatively wide geographic distribution, but its natural history is very poorly known. Very little is known about its foraging ecology, its breeding biology, and about demographic factors such as life span and survivorship, dispersal, or population regulation.
