Black-polled Yellowthroat Geothlypis speciosa

  • Order: Passeriformes
  • Family: Parulidae
  • Monotypic
  • Authors: Viktor Antolin and Cameron K. Ghalambor

The nest and eggs of Black-polled Yellowthroat apparently are undescribed; the nest presumably is a cup, composed of plant material, and sited low in or near marshes. Edwards and Martin (1955) noted that this yellowthroat was breeding in abundance at Lake Patzcuaro in late May. Juveniles have been collected in June, July, and September (Dickerman 1970).
