Breeding

The nest of Black-headed Siskin is not described in any detail, but is reported (Howell and Webb 1995) to be similar to that of Pine Siskin (Spinus pinus), suggesting that the nest is a cup of twigs, grass, and rootlets, placed in a tree. The clutch is two (Howell and Webb 1995).
