Priorities for Future Research

Like many Neotropical species, many aspects of the basic biology and natural history of the Beryl-spangled Tanager remain poorly known. In particular, more information is needed on their behavior, molts, population and demography, potential predators, parasites, and diseases. Only a few observations have been made on the nesting and breeding biology.
