Distribution in the Americas

It distributes only in Mexico in the State of Baja California Sur.

It is a common to frequent but local resident species, from central Baja California Sur to the south, from about 26 ° to 24 ° N, and in Cape District. The population size is estimated between 1000 and 2499 individuals and is declining.

Habitat

This species inhabits coastal marshes, brackish lagoons, or freshwater marshes with reedbeds, and riparian vegetation, at sea level.
