Priorities for Future Research

To further evaluate the conservation status of Bay-capped Wren-Spinetail, the population needs to be estimated. Year round monitoring of what seems to be migratory populations may help to evaluate areas that may be important for the species conservation. The simple nest of the wren-spinetail and the lack of territorial behavior deserve future investigation as it seems an atypical member of the Furnariidae.
