Balsas Screech-Owl Megascops seductus

  • Order: Strigiformes
  • Family: Strigidae
  • Monotypic
  • Authors: Sarah Egan

No nests of Balsas Screech-Owl have been described, although this species presumably nests in cavities in trees and columnar cacti, like other species of Megascops. The eggs are white (König and Weick 2008), and have been found in June (Holt et al. 1999).
