Priorities for Future Research

The most immediate attention should be surveying unexplored parts of the potential range of this species to clarify it's distribution and abundance (BirdLife International 2018). Population genetic and molecular phylogenetic analyses should be conducted in order to determine the degree of gene flow and divergence between (and within) the two disunct populations. According to Parker et al. (1996), the priority for research for this species is “high”.
