Agami Heron Agamia agami

Conservation Status

Globally it is considered as a low concern species. Populations are not quantified but are considered as stable. In Mexico this species is considered as under special protection due to the heavy human pressures for its breeding habitat and the lack of life history knowledge. This species should be considered a priority for studying to propose a better protection strategy.
