Priorities for Future Research
Although populations of this species do not appear to be in danger of extinction, knowledge of the ways in which anthropogenic impacts affect this species' behavior and ecology would be enlightening, particularly if habitat in Cuba comes under increasing pressure. Additionally, with increasing population and industrial pressures some have suggested that pesticides and other pollutants may become a significant problems for many species in Cuba, including the tody.
